Great Morning! I hope you are having an amazing morning. I have a heart of praise right now, so I wanted to focus more on praising God.
Sometimes we begin our day in a rush or simply take into it one task at a time. Other times , we lay there thinking about all the things we need to do and don’t even want to get out of the bed. What we should focusing on is having God on our minds first thing in the morning and at least the last thing when we to bed at night. I’m not saying I am perfect and get it right every time, but I do try my best to acknowledge the One who created me. As I think about it, the least I can do is say ThankYou Lord!
Thank You is the password to His presence. In the Message version Psalms 100 is says:
“On your feet now—applaud GOD! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into his presence.
Know this: GOD is God, and God, GOD. He made us; we didn’t make him. We’re his people, his well-tended sheep. Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. For GOD is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.”
When I come to God, I always start by thanking Him first. It immediately takes my mind off of what am I thinking/fighting, thoughts that are racing through my mind and emotions I may feel. It takes me directly into His presence. It’s the password right? We don’t have to feel a certain a way to pray. We just need to be honest and humble to come boldly to His throne of unmerited favor -grace.
It’s amazing how much your prayer life will be more effective by entering with thanksgiving and entering His courts with praise. Praising God for all that He is. He is our everything. He created us to worship Him in spirit and in truth. So, let’s focus on setting our affections and actions in thanking God and praising Him in His courts first. Then, we are thankful unto Him and bless His holy name.
What may seem tired to us as repetitive, God loves to hear us speaking His word that He gave us to be guide in leading and guiding us into His presence. It shows we honor Him and take heed to what He left for us to do.
I challenge you to begin your day by thanking God and praising Him for how good He is. How amazing He has brought you thus far. How great and big He is. He is the Good Good Father. The God who said, “I am that I am.” So whatever you need Him to be today, call Him and He will answer you.
Thank Him! Praise Him! Honor Him!

Thank you Lord, for it is the password to Your presence. I enter into your gates with thanksgiving and enter into your courts with praise. I’m so thankful unto You and I will bless your Holy and matchless name. Oh how excellent is thy name in all the earth. You are Great and greatly to be praised. There is no one like You. So, I praise You for who You are. You are worthy of my praise and worthy of all my adoration. I adore You! I rest in You! I lift You up! I love You Lord and I need you Now more than ever. I give You all of my praise and all the glory in Jesus name, Amen.
