You better rest!

Rest is essential for the body, mind and soul. We never really know how important it is to us until we are confronted with a trial, test and/or tribulation we must face. Then, it forces us to only rest in God. It could be for health, family not getting along, marriages on the brink of divorce, can’t finish school, battling mental health, depression, oppression and so much more. It is vital to get rest physically at night and also rest in God.

From John Hopkins:

“A healthy amount of sleep is vital for “brain plasticity,” or the brain’s ability to adapt to input. If we sleep too little, we become unable to process what we’ve learned during the day and we have more trouble remembering it in the future.

Sleep is vital to the rest of the body too. When people don’t get enough sleep, their health risks rise. Symptoms of depression, seizures, high blood pressure and migraines worsen. Immunity is compromised, increasing the likelihood of illness and infection. Sleep also plays a role in metabolism: Even one night of missed sleep can create a prediabetic state in an otherwise healthy person.”

What seems simple is not simple to many. I have come to remind you that when you join yourself with God, he will give you a supernatural rest (peace) surpass your understanding.

“Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.”
Matthew 11:29 TPT

This is why it is important that we must elevate the Word of God and rest in it. We must consistently pray to Him and think the thoughts of God. We have to continue to press in His presence for in it is fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures for ever more.

Remember -> REST! Let God take on your problems for he cares so much for us. Choose to rest from this day forward.

Love ya,

Prayer:

Thank You Father that I commit myself to you and I choose to rest in You. I thank you Lord that  I submit my life to You. I make the decision to learn your ways and only please You. I am grateful and thankful that I can find peaceful refreshment and supernatural rest in You. In your presence there is fullness of joy and at your right hand, pleasures forever more. I give the praise right now and it is so in Jesus name, Amen.
